Environment Day

The Village International School in Kumaramangalam is making a difference in the celebration of Environment Day. Instead of the usual practice of planting tree saplings, the children are preparing fruit orchards for birds and animals in collaboration with Birds Club International. Approximately 100 fruit tree saplings were planted within the school premises. Through this project, children can develop environmental awareness and a love for nature. In addition, the school library has prepared the "Orboot Earth" app to provide world knowledge to the children. This app allows children to learn about the environment and living things in countries around the world. The application will provide detailed information about any country and the children can explore it using a specially designed globe. The planting of fruit trees was inaugurated by the School Managing Director, R. K. Das. School Principal Zacharias Jacob, Jose Mathew Kochukudi, and Vice Principal Anilkumar M were present at the event. Jose Mathew Kochukudi formally launched the Orboot Earth application, while School Principal Zacharias Jacob delivered the Environment Day message. Various art programs were also staged by the children during the function held in the school auditorium.
